Mission:

iKare4Kids empowers families, in financial need, with critically ill/injured children, with gently used technology. iKare4Kids strives for a day to eliminate technology barriers for children and families on their difficult medical journey.

We all enjoy new technology like iPads and tablets.  The dilemma is what to do with these gently used devices when you have upgraded?  Send them to the landfill or let them sit and gather dust?

What if I told you those gently used iPads and tablets could be repurposed to a sick or injured child, whose family cannot afford one?

My name is Deanna Hagen and I founded iKare4Kids. While volunteering at Ronald McDonald House. I was shocked to learn of a serious barrier some families faced while they were in crisis with their sick child.  Families struggled to stay current and connected with everyone involved in their sick child’s treatment and recovery because they could not afford to buy an iPad or tablet.  We often take for granted the luxuries we have, is a necessity for another.

You have the means to empower these families by simply donating your gently unused iPads!

• Hold Medical & Information• Contain Treatment Plans• Have Skype & Video Capabilities for Communication with Family Members Abroad• Allow Children to do Online Schooling Lessons• Have Music and Games on them to bring comfort and joy to the lives of these sick children while they may be bored and depressed in the hospital.
